How the Games Work
01
Listen, Look or Read
Audio games play a short clip. Album Blur shows a blurred cover. Knowledge games reveal clues or band names. Every format tests your metal differently.
02
Make Your Guess
Type or tap your answer. Audio games use autocomplete search. Knowledge games give you buttons to press. Wrong answers reveal more information.
03
Share Your Score
Copy your emoji result and paste it anywhere — Discord, Reddit, X. Every game builds a shareable result automatically.
04
Keep Exploring
After playing, jump into band guides, ranked song lists and festival pages. Every game links to deeper content about that band or song.

Games FAQ
What is Rock Heardle?
A free daily music game where you identify a rock song from a short audio clip. Six increasingly longer clips, covering classic rock, grunge, indie, alternative and modern rock.
What is Metal Heardle?
A daily music game focused on heavy metal — from Black Sabbath and Metallica through to Slipknot, System of a Down and modern metalcore. One new song every day.
What is Metal Wordle?
A daily word game where you guess a hidden metal-related word in six tries. Every answer is from the world of rock and metal — band names, album titles, genres and terms. Letters change colour to guide your next guess.
What is The Executioner?
A daily band-guessing game. A mystery metal band is revealed through five clues, one at a time. Each wrong guess extinguishes a candle and reveals the next clue. Name the band before all five candles go out.
What is Metal or Made Up?
A daily quiz where five band names are shown — some are real metal acts, some we invented. Real metal band names are often more extreme than anything fictional, making it harder than it sounds. Score 3 or more to win.
Are all the games free?
Yes — all nine games are completely free with no account or sign-up required. After playing, explore band guides, ranked song lists and festival guides.
